Dynatech web site

After years of working hard on several projects, Dynatech will launch its latest developments and patents at INTERLIFT.

From now to the Interlift celebration date (Augsburg, October 2011), information concerning the new products to be exhibited at the fair will be published on our website. Nevertheless, please find below information on the developments which will be approved and EN 81-1 A3 certified by then, as well as on the rest of our current range of products:

  • New QUASAR speed governor: QUASAR (Astronomy), “A quasi-stellar object, extremely compact and with high power and luminosity” Our QUASAR Governor is the heir to STAR technology, with a reduced 120 mm diameter but with a large range of applications, much larger than that of the current Dynatech governors.
  • INTEGRAL System: “A new concept in safety systems”. Safety gear and speed governor fitted in a single part. This system is multifunctional for any type of frames, thus reducing both the cost of its manufacture and the gap between the car floor and the lift’s shaft pit to the minimum.

At present, new products, such as the following ASG range safety gear models, are being designed: ASG-200 and ASG-200-UD. These may not be approved in time for the fair but may be displayed during it and their features disclosed in accordance with the preliminary tests.

TORNADO gearless machines also incorporate new components: Bed plates for roomless lifts, bed plates for refurbishments, manual rescue system, adaptable pulley protections, etc.

Even though the INTEGRAL system will be a true revolution in the lift sector, it will not be the only one. At any typical fair, exhibitors usually show their current and future products; what has never been seen before is that exhibitors both show their products and offer a different kind of business to their customers which they can incorporate to the current one without having to include additional costs. Therefore, the turnover is increased but the costs remain fixed. Dynatech is to launch a series of products which will be seen at Interlift and which are part of the Energy Efficient Building philosophy.

An opportunity not to be missed: INTERLIFT 2011.

In order to develop all the above-mentioned products, it is clear that the company has a considerable technological capacity and can rely on supports with proven technical competence. What you are going to see now is not a product sold or expected to be sold by Dynatech. What you are going to see is a vehicle for technological demonstration. Specifically, it is a multipurpose tool vehicle, remotely-operated, articulated, with comprehensive traction and hydrogen battery powered system.  The participants in this development are:

  • The University of Zaragoza, Doctor of Engineering, Mr. Mario Maza coordinating the project.
  • The Laboratorio de Investigación en Tecnologías de la Combustión (LITEC) developing the two PEM (proton exchange membrane) type batteries.
  • The company Electrónica Cerler, S.A. developing the required electronic boards.
  • The Fundación para el Desarrollo en Tecnologías del Hidrógeno en Aragón (FH2A), promoting the project.
  • DYNATECH, sponsoring the project with the participation of Dynatech’s Integration Laboratory Director, Mr. Ramón del Cacho, and developing the entire vehicle’s kinematics and the integration of all its components for its correct final operation.

Dr. Mario Maza, from the University of Zaragoza and Dr. Félix Barreras from LITEC, explain in two videos the vehicle’s functionality and degree of technical complexity (in Spanish).

Dear Customers,

Dynatech has the pleasure of informing you that all their progressive safety gears are now certified according to the EN 81-1 + A3. With regards the governors, the STAR and VEGA models are also certified. The rest of the governors are still in the process of being certified.

We expect to receive the corresponding certifications in the next few days.

As soon as we receive them, they will be published on our website.

We would also like to take this opportunity to inform you of more developments with regards the standardization of some of our products:

  • Safety gears: Currently, the final official tests are being carried out in order to standardise the ASG-100 and ASG-100-UD safety gears for guide rail T65/54/8. We hope to have the certification before August.
  • Governors: Among other innovations, a new governor called QUASAR will be presented at the Augsburg Fair, initialising its commercialization. This governor has a diameter of120mm being extraordinarily compact as a whole. Today tests are being carried out for its standardization in the official Laboratory in Madrid. In accordance with the design validation tests carried out previously at our installations, we hope that this governor will achieve a range of tripping speeds from 0.3m/s to + 3m/s. Its performance is not related to its size. The standardization will include the A3 from the start and we also hope to have this before August.

Best wishes.

Dynatech reportage

Video of the TV report broadcasted through the Aragonese channel “Antena Aragón” that shows Dynatech’s facilities and equipments for R&D+I, and the main products of the company: Safety Gears, Overspeed Governors and Tornado Gearless Machines.

Dear clients,

Dynatech is glad to inform you that the certification process for its safety gear and governors has started in accordance with the Addendum 3 requirements now that the Notified Bodies have finally provided us with the procedure to follow.

EN 81-1:2008 +A3  and EN 81-2:2008 +A3.
INFORMATIVE NOTE (ADDENDUM 3)

By the middle of next year, the Lift Industry must meet a new standard requirement: Addendum 3, which extends the technical safety rules described in the current European Standards EN 81-1 and EN 81-2.

DYNATECH anticipated the Addendum 3 specification contents several years ago by developing the anti-creep system for its speed governors. These governors incorporating the anti-creep system, when combined with our safety gears, meet the requirements described in the above-mentioned Addendum 3 100%.

Now, the question is:

Why there is no information on the Certification of these systems according to Addendum 3 on the Dynatech website?

The answer is clear:

Up until now, none of the prestigious Notified Bodies Dynatech usually works with can Certify the System as either they do not have the corresponding Procedures and Instructions concerning internal organization or they are still developing them; on the other hand, they cannot officially certify technical requirements included in a Standard which is not in force and, therefore, its fulfilment cannot be demanded.

Surprisingly, we have heard that some companies have launched products in accordance with Addendum 3 on the Market, bearing the corresponding CE Marking (please note that this Marking does not appear anywhere on their website). Taking into account what has previously been mentioned, we consider that the customer deserves a serious and truthful explanation of the real situation.

Furthermore, as you know, Dynatech is certified by the TÜV Rheinland Notified Body according to ISO 9001:2008 and the Appendix IX of the Lift Directive 95/16/EC. Dynatech is entitled to carry out a self-certification process of the system and can execute it with complete technical self-sufficiency due to the great deal of resources at its disposal; they even include ENAC (National Accreditation Body) traceability, member of EA (European Cooperation for Accreditation) concerning calibration and validation of test equipment.

Nevertheless, even if this self-certification process was carried out, the temporary circumstances of Addendum 3 application would be the same. On the other hand, we remain faithful to our particular work style and would rather proceed as usual, that is to say, going through the Notified Bodies to obtain the CE Marking for our products.

To sum up:

1-  On this day, Dynatech states that its products meet the requirements demanded by Addendum 3 100%.

2- Dynatech will provide its clients with the corresponding CE marking which may be demanded by this amendment to the lift Standard when applicable and, therefore, requirable.

3- The information included in this informative note is absolutely true and literally corresponds to the contents of the telephone and written conversations or of personal meetings between Dynatech’s technical staff and their peers in both of the Notified Bodies we work with:

We are fully aware that, when regulations are being modified, there may be a feeling of concern usually caused by the lack of information supplied by Bodies, companies, etc. This is why Dynatech, by means of this informative note, wanted to clearly explain the real situation and reassure its clients.
